Chef Knife 10″
This is a hammer forged blade. Made from 440C stainless steel. The OAL is exactly 14 & 11/16's inches. It boasts a 10" blade with a 4 1/2" handle approximately. Hardened to 53-55 RCH level hardness. This will have excellent edge retention, while being soft enough to maintain flexibility. The spine of the blade is just larger than 1/16" thick. This is slightly thinner than most Chef knives, but provides more versatility in the kitchen, as it can carve, chop and even bone. The blade is satin finished and patinaed, to create a well used finish. The tang also has a patina, but is marbleized to match the grain of the burl wood.
Handle is made of epoxy resin stabilized, Buckeye burl. It's been dyed with multiple different colors to add life and character. The burl stabilization process adds structural integrity to the burl and increases its resistance to staining and holding harmful bacteria.
